Layer-by-layer system specification

The Elastomeric Render System is Licata's specification for applications requiring crack-bridging performance and high flexibility. Aggrappante LG bonding primer is applied first, followed by Raso TH 500 Plus, a thixotropic elastomeric basecoat with superior flexibility, reinforced with fibreglass mesh.

Siloxan Primer prepares the cured basecoat for the Siloxan Color silicone render finish, the system's preferred topcoat for its high breathability, water repellency and anti-mould performance.

Layer 1: Bonding Primer
Aggrappante LG
Spatterdash bonding primer, applied to the substrate to provide a mechanical key for the elastomeric basecoat. Ensures strong adhesion of the Raso TH 500 Plus system. Apply a full, even coat and allow to dry before applying the basecoat.

Layer 2: Elastomeric Basecoat
Raso TH 500 Plus
Thixotropic elastomeric basecoat. A highly flexible, polymer-modified render coat with superior crack-bridging capability. Applied over the bonding primer and embedded with fibreglass mesh reinforcement whilst still fresh. The elastomeric properties allow the system to accommodate substrate movement without cracking.

Layer 3: Reinforcement
Fibreglass Mesh
Alkali-resistant fibreglass reinforcement mesh, embedded into the fresh Raso TH 500 Plus basecoat. Minimum 100mm laps at all joints. Apply additional diagonal mesh at all openings and corners to prevent cracking.

Layer 4: Topcoat Primer
Siloxan Primer
Siloxane-based topcoat primer, applied over the fully cured Raso TH 500 Plus basecoat to consolidate the surface and prepare it for the Siloxan Color silicone render finish. Ensures uniform absorption and compatibility between the elastomeric basecoat and the silicone topcoat.

Layer 5: Render Finish
Siloxan Color
Silicone render finish. Highly water-repellent with excellent vapour permeability, anti-mould and algae-resistant. Applied over the Siloxan Primer in one or two coats. The silicone chemistry is fully compatible with the elastomeric basecoat, maintaining the flexibility of the complete system. Available in a wide colour range.
