Layer-by-layer system specification
This is Licata's EWI system for steel frame construction with a clay brick slip finish, combining non-combustible mineral wool insulation with the authentic appearance of traditional brickwork. Starting from the A1 fibre cement board sheathing, Licata supplies the complete system from a single source.
Raso Top 800 is used as both the insulation adhesive and the reinforced basecoat. Super S1, Licata's S1-rated flexible tile adhesive, bonds the clay brick slips to the cured basecoat, providing the flexibility required to accommodate thermal movement in the system.

Single Source Supply
Licata supplies the complete system of insulation, fixings, mesh, adhesive, basecoat, primer and render, simplifying procurement and ensuring full system compatibility.
System certification and performance
This system has been assessed and certified. The certification number, fire classification and impact resistance category are declared for the complete system as installed. U-value calculations are produced on a project-specific basis.
Fire performance is classified to BS EN 13501-1. The system achieves Use Category I impact resistance classification, indicating suitability for areas readily accessible at ground level and exposed to normal hard-body impacts.
