Layer-by-layer system specification

This is Licata's premium exposed waterproofing system: a solvent-based polyurethane membrane over a primed and taped substrate, finished with an aliphatic polyurethane topcoat. Licalastic 150 PU delivers >450% elongation and maintains elasticity from -30°C to +80°C. Top Layer 100 A+B provides non-yellowing UV resistance and wear resistance for a durable, coloured exposed finish.

Layer 1: Damp Substrate Primer
EpoxyCem TX A+B+C
Three-component epoxy-cement primer for substrates with residual moisture or vapour pressure. Apply before the polyurethane membrane where required.

Layer 2: Waterproofing Tape
LicaBand BTS 100
Self-adhesive butyl rubber waterproofing tape applied at all joints, corners and connections before the polyurethane membrane. Use Licaband RL12 for structural and expansion joints (formed as Omega).

Layer 3: Polyurethane Membrane
Licalastic 150 PU
Single-component solvent-based polyurethane waterproofing membrane, applied in two coats by brush, roller or airless spray. UV resistant, >450% elongation, elastic from -30°C to +80°C. Certified UNI EN 1504-2.

Layer 4: Aliphatic Polyurethane Topcoat
Top Layer 100 A+B
Two-component aliphatic polyurethane topcoat: non-yellowing, UV resistant and wear resistant. Applied as the final protective and decorative layer over the cured Licalastic 150 PU membrane. Available in full RAL colour range.
