CUPACLAD 101 Parallel natural slate rainscreen cladding

Aligned joints generating a homogeneous composition based on parallel lines. Horizontal 40x25cm slates on an invisible fixing system, supplied in the UK by Licata Building Systems.

Overview

Aligned joints, homogeneous composition

CUPACLAD 101 Parallel is a rainscreen cladding system with aligned joints, generating a homogeneous composition that highlights the unique personality of natural slate.

CUPACLAD 101 Parallel shares its invisible fixing system with the rest of the CUPACLAD 101 series, letting the slate become the main feature in any facade.

The system offers an innovative style based on parallel lines, where its characteristic homogeneity enhances the texture of the slate. It suits projects calling for a precise, ordered elevation with a strong horizontal emphasis.

Fixing System

Two concealed screws per slate

All CUPACLAD 101 systems share the same invisible fasteners, conceived specifically by the CUPA engineering team.

Two self-drilling stainless steel screws, with large diameter flat heads, guarantee easy installation and a perfect end result.

Because the fixing is concealed and the joints are aligned, the finished elevation reads as an ordered grid of slate with no visible clips or fasteners interrupting the face.

Applications

Where CUPACLAD 101 Parallel suits

Ordered, precise elevations

Where the design calls for aligned joints and a regular grid. The homogeneity of the coursing gives the facade a deliberate, architectural discipline.

Strong horizontal emphasis

The parallel line composition draws the eye along the elevation, suiting wide or low buildings and facades where horizontal proportion is part of the design intent.

Ventilated rainscreen build-ups

Installed as a ventilated rainscreen over a supporting subframe, working alongside insulation to manage moisture and thermal performance across the facade.
