Havering Borough Council
Regenerating council housing estates in Havering under the ECO4 scheme
This ongoing regeneration programme is upgrading council housing estates in the London Borough of Havering, improving the energy efficiency, safety and appearance of residents’ homes under the Government’s ECO4 energy efficiency scheme.
Spanning more than 250 homes, each estate receives a tailored package of works covering fabric repairs, roofing and balcony works, window and door replacements, external decorations and the installation of external wall insulation. The programme is being delivered estate by estate, with improvements already completed across several estates and further phases in progress.
The retrofit of external wall insulation sits at the heart of the energy efficiency measures, reducing heat loss through the external walls of each property and cutting energy bills for residents while giving the buildings a clean, refreshed appearance.
