The beauty of nature and the strength of natural stone. Since 2004, powdered quarry waste has been combined with mixed binders to form a creamy paste that reproduces the natural texture of travertine on the wall without altering its characteristics. Available in nine colours across eight finishes.
Not an imitation, a natural reproduction
Travertino Romano is a ready to use decorative plaster made from sand, selected marble grains, travertine powder and slaked lime putty. The even paste is straightforward to apply, and worked with the correct technique it produces an effect close to natural stone, bringing out the veins and contours that characterise travertine.
Travertine has been used for centuries in buildings that are still standing today, and is now a precious natural resource whose supply is at risk from the volumes taken out of quarries. In 2004, residual waste material from travertine quarrying was introduced into a coating for the first time, creating a product able to reproduce the characteristics of natural stone on the wall rather than imitate them.
One of the main characteristics of the product is that it bonds perfectly with the surface, becoming a single body with it. Travertino Romano blocks the development of mould and bacteria, has a low odour level, is non-flammable, is formaldehyde-free, and is friendly to both people and the environment.
Eight textures, classical to metropolitan
The finish is set by the tools and technique used in application, giving textures that run from the split and aged stone effects suited to historical buildings through to the smoother, more metropolitan surfaces used in contemporary interiors.
Nine colours

Made from quarry waste
Built on residual material from travertine quarrying, so the finish reuses a by-product rather than drawing further on a natural resource under pressure.
The same feel to the touch
The wall carries the same texture as the stone itself. This is a natural reproduction using the original material, not a printed or moulded imitation of it.
Only millimetres thick
The low build keeps the finish light, which is what allows it to be used where the weight or depth of real stone would rule it out.
Applies to almost any substrate
Suitable for walls as well as iron, wood and plastic, so the same stone effect can be carried across surfaces that would never take real travertine.
High vapour permeability
The lime and travertine dust composition lets the surface breathe, reducing humidity and preventing mould and bacteria from forming.
Bonds as a single body
The plaster forms a complete bond with the substrate rather than sitting on top of it, which is what gives the finish its durability.
