Waterproofing and flooring systems for a landmark London hotel
Park Plaza - Hercules House is a hotel development in central London. While Licata is best known for facade systems, this project showcases the other side of the range: the interior waterproofing, tiling and flooring systems that hotel fit-outs depend on.
Licata Building Systems supplied the bathroom waterproofing systems, tile adhesives and microcement flooring for the project. In a hotel, bathrooms are the hardest working rooms in the building: hundreds of wet rooms in daily use, where a single failure means a room out of service. Reliable tanking and full system compatibility, from substrate to finish, are what keep that risk off the table.
The microcement flooring delivers a seamless, hard-wearing, design-led finish well suited to modern hospitality interiors, applied thin over the substrate without the weight or build-up height of traditional screeds.
