Layer-by-layer system specification

This system uses Flex Plus C2TE tile adhesive, the extreme-conditions cementitious adhesive certified to UNI EN 12004. Suitable for porcelain stoneware on new cement screeds, indoors and outdoors, including frost-exposed external floors, swimming pools and cold storage rooms.

Layer 1
Existing Substrate
New cement screed or concrete base. Must be cured, clean, flat and free from dust, oils and surface treatments. Wet to SSD conditions before applying adhesive.

Layer 2: Tile Adhesive
Flex Plus
C2TE polymer-modified tile adhesive. Apply at 2 to 5mm with a 6 to 10mm notched trowel. Extended open time of >30 minutes. Back-butter tiles over 900cm². Mix with LicaLatex for pools and cold storage.

Layer 3: Tile
Porcelain Stoneware
All formats of porcelain stoneware including large format, low absorption and rectified tiles. Allow foot traffic after 24 to 36 hours. Allow 14 days before full loading.

Layer 4: Grout
FugaTop Grout
Available in FugaTop 0_8 (joint widths 0 to 8mm) or FugaTop 3_20 (joint widths 3 to 20mm). Select based on tile format and joint width.

Fine-joint grout for joint widths of 0 to 8mm. Suitable for polished porcelain and rectified tile formats with tight joints.
