The ancient art of stucco, rediscovered
Raffaello Decorstucco is a classic decorative render that recalls the beauty and charm of Italian Renaissance culture. Ecological and based on natural lime processed in the traditional way, it can be worked to express mirror polished, semi-gloss or opaque marble effects, extended continuously across the surface with no visible break.
The art of stucco on walls originated in Italy and spread rapidly through master decorators who became famous for embellishing important buildings, work whose beauty and colour can still be admired in its original state centuries later. After careful research into the techniques of working marble, these decorative effects were rediscovered and the ancient tradition re-examined, making it possible once again to reproduce the charm and quality of wall stucco.
The product guarantees the utmost transpiration while favouring the natural diffusion of humidity through the plaster and masonry, preventing the formation of mould and bacteria over time.
Eight finishes, eight Italian cities
The collection takes its name from Raffaello Sanzio, the Renaissance painter and architect whose command of colour texture and refined marble effects shaped the taste of buildings for centuries afterwards. Each of the eight surface finishes is linked to the genius loci of an Italian city where stucco, applied with particular techniques, has characterised wall decoration and can still be seen today: Venice, Florence, Carrara, Vicenza, Rome, Tivoli, Naples and Milan.

100 colours
The range covers all the techniques and colours of marble on walls, running from cold tones through to warm ones. Every finish is available across the full palette, so the surface finish and the shade are chosen separately.
Key features
Continuous marble surfaces
The marble effect extends continuously across the wall with no visible joints, giving the seamless appearance that distinguishes true stucco from a decorative paint.
Mirror gloss to matt
The same product can be worked to a mirror polished, semi-gloss or opaque finish, so the level of shine is set by the applicator rather than by the specification.
Maximum breathability
Guarantees the utmost transpiration and favours the natural diffusion of humidity through the plaster and masonry behind it.
Resists mould and bacteria
By allowing moisture to move freely through the wall, the finish prevents the formation of mould and bacterial growth over time.
Natural lime base
Ecological and based on natural lime processed in the traditional way, carrying the working qualities that make classic stucco what it is.
Handcrafted finish
Applied by hand in the tradition of the master decorators, so each surface carries the character of the work rather than a uniform machine finish.
Traditional and contemporary surroundings
With smooth, glossy or natural finishes, Raffaello Decorstucco lends richness and elegance to almost any setting, restoring the character of an ancient craft to modern everyday living spaces.
