Why specify Monoscratch300 monocouche render?

🏗️

Through-Coloured Monocouche Render

Monoscratch300 is through-coloured during manufacture — no painting required. The colour is consistent throughout the render, so scratches and chips do not show and the finish will not fade or peel.

🔥

Class A Fire Rating

This monocouche render achieves a Class A fire rating — making it suitable for projects where non-combustible external finishes are required, including higher-risk residential buildings.

💧

Water Resistant & Breathable

Monoscratch300 monocouche render is water resistant whilst remaining breathable — protecting the substrate from moisture ingress without trapping vapour within the wall.

🧱

Natural Stone-Like Finish

The two-layer application of this monocouche render creates a distinctive natural stone-like textured appearance, offering a high-quality aesthetic for residential and commercial facades.

🛡️

Crack Resistant

The blend of Portland cement, hydrated lime, polymers and modifying admixtures in Monoscratch300 ensures strong adhesion, flexibility and a crack-resistant monocouche render finish.

Durable & Low Maintenance

Product Description

Monoscratch300 — Premium Monocouche Render

Monoscratch300 is Licata's premium monocouche render — a cement-based, through-coloured scratch render formulated for durability, breathability and long-term water resistance. Suitable for both commercial and residential projects, this monocouche render can be applied to a wide range of substrates including concrete, clay block, brick and masonry.

Preparation: Ensure the substrate is clean, dry and free from debris before applying monocouche render. Use LBS Substrate Primer to prepare the surface. Mix each 25kg bag with 4.5–5 litres of clean water. Mix thoroughly for 2 minutes, leave to stand for 5 minutes, then remix before application.

Application Process

How to apply monocouche render

1
Substrate preparation: Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from debris. Apply LBS Substrate Primer and allow to cure fully before applying the monocouche render.
2
Mixing: Combine one 25kg bag with 4.5–5 litres of clean water. Mix for 2 minutes, leave to stand for 5 minutes, then remix thoroughly before use.
3
First pass: Apply a 10mm thick layer using a stainless steel trowel or spray machine. Embed fibreglass mesh into this layer for additional strength and crack resistance.
4
Second pass: Apply an 8–9mm layer over the first coat. Scratch back to achieve a total monocouche render thickness of 15–17mm and create the desired textured finish.
5
Important: Do not apply below the damp proof course (DPC) or within 150mm of ground level. Drying times vary based on weather conditions.
