Licalastic Scud is a ready-to-use mono-component liquid elastomeric waterproofing coating from Licata — based on modified acrylic copolymers with synthetic fibres and inert fillers. This elastomeric waterproofing coating can be left exposed, resists standing water, UV rays and foot traffic, and requires no additional protection. Available in white, red, grey and green. Suitable for terraces, balconies, concrete structures, foundations, bathrooms, showers and more.

Unlike cement-based waterproofing membranes, this elastomeric waterproofing coating is UV resistant and can be left fully exposed without additional protection — ideal for terraces, balconies and roofs where a finished coloured surface is required.
Foot Traffic Resistant
Licalastic Scud elastomeric waterproofing coating withstands foot traffic — tested to static indentation load category P4 — making it suitable for walkable terraces, balconies and accessible roof areas without requiring a separate wear course.
Dual Certification
Certified to both UNI EN 14891 (waterproof coating for subsequent tile laying) and UNI EN 1504-2 (concrete protection coating, PI/MC/IR principles) — this elastomeric waterproofing coating covers both waterproofing and concrete protection requirements.

Available in white, red, grey and green — this elastomeric waterproofing coating provides a finished decorative surface as well as waterproofing protection, eliminating the need for a separate decorative finish coat on exposed applications.
Ready to Use — No Mixing
Supplied ready to use in 5kg and 20kg buckets — no water, no powder, no mixing equipment needed on site. Manual stirring only before use. Significantly faster to deploy than powder-based waterproofing products.

Water-based formulation — odourless, non-flammable and non-toxic with no solvents. Suitable for use in enclosed spaces including bathrooms, showers, sauna rooms and basements with adequate ventilation.
Licalastic Scud — Ready-to-Use Elastomeric Waterproofing Coating
Licalastic Scud is Licata's mono-component liquid elastomeric waterproofing coating — supplied ready to use in aqueous dispersion, based on modified acrylic copolymers with synthetic fibres and inert fillers. Once cured, it creates a durable, impermeable elastic barrier resistant to atmospheric agents, UV rays, stagnant water and foot traffic — including in marine and industrial environments.
This elastomeric waterproofing coating is certified to UNI EN 14891, making it suitable as a waterproof substrate for subsequent tile laying using Licata adhesives. It also meets UNI EN 1504-2 requirements for concrete protection — preventing CO2 penetration and protecting concrete from carbonation (CO2 permeability Sd >50m).
Licalastic Scud elastomeric waterproofing coating can also be used to restore old bituminous waterproofing — apply after a preparatory coat of Licalastic Svart diluted at 10% on new bituminous membranes, or repair and reprime old existing sheeting before overcoating. On large surfaces or where movement is expected, embed Lica Armor 1000 or Texture 2000 reinforcement fabric between the first and second coats.
