Floor K300 - Self-Levelling Compound

Quick-hardening polymer-modified self-levelling compound — 3 to 40mm, walkable in 4 hours, tilable in 24 hours, UNI EN 13813 CT-C30-F5

Floor K300 Self-Levelling Compound by Licata

Floor K300 is a self-levelling compound from Licata — a quick-hardening, polymer-modified cement mortar with controlled hygrometric shrinkage. Applied at 3 to 40mm in a single pour, this self-levelling compound can be walked on after just 4 hours and tiled over after 24 hours. Near-zero shrinkage minimises cracking throughout all life phases. Suitable for ceramic tiles, rubber, stone, parquet, carpet and resin finishes.

Features & Benefits

Why specify Floor K300 self-levelling compound?

📐

3 to 40mm in a Single Pour

Unlike most self-levelling compounds limited to 10mm, Floor K300 can be applied at variable thicknesses from 3 to 40mm in a single application — ideal for levelling out uneven substrates without multiple pour cycles or expensive screeds.

Walkable in 4 Hours

This self-levelling compound can be walked on after just 4 hours at 20°C — significantly faster than traditional cement screeds and minimising project downtime between floor preparation and finish installation.

🏅

UNI EN 13813 — CT-C30-F5

Certified to UNI EN 13813 performance classes CT-C30-F5 — compression resistance C30 and bending strength F5. This self-levelling compound meets the structural requirements for use under all common floor finishes.

📏

Near-Zero Shrinkage

Controlled hygrometric shrinkage of less than 0.25mm/m virtually eliminates cracking throughout all phases — application, plastic phase and curing. Critical for large-area pours where conventional compounds frequently crack.

⏱️

Extended 20-Minute Pot Life

Latest-generation additives give this self-levelling compound a pot life approximately 20 minutes longer than standard products — allowing larger areas to be covered in a single mix without rushing the pour or risking premature setting.

💪

High Adhesion — >1.5 MPa

Polymer-modified formulation achieves adhesion values above 1.5 MPa — this self-levelling compound bonds reliably to existing cement substrates and provides a stable, high-strength base for all floor finish types.

Product Description

Floor K300 — Quick-Hardening Self-Levelling Compound

Floor K300 is Licata's quick-hardening self-levelling compound — a polymer-modified cement mortar with controlled hygrometric shrinkage, manufactured with high-resistance hydraulic binders, spherical quartz aggregates, special additives and HT fibres. Developed in Licata's R&D laboratories, it stands out for its easy workability, excellent self-levelling properties, superior mechanical and surface strength and near-zero shrinkage.

This self-levelling compound is certified to UNI EN 13813 classes CT-C30-F5 and can be applied at any thickness from 3 to 40mm in a single pour — eliminating the need for multiple applications on heavily uneven substrates. It is suitable for internal and external applications on existing firm cement substrates.

Preparation

Preparing for self-levelling compound application

1
Clean the substrate: Remove all flaking parts, dust, oils, greases, waxes, gypsum and salt. Repair any cracks or gaps with Repair 450 or Repair 250 before applying this self-levelling compound.
2
Rising damp: Install a vapour barrier if rising damp is present — do not apply this self-levelling compound directly over a damp substrate without protection.
3
Saturate to SSD: Wet the substrate with water until saturated surface dry (SSD) conditions are reached — this prevents the dry substrate absorbing mixing water from the self-levelling compound and weakening adhesion.
4
Porous substrates: Treat particularly porous or absorbent surfaces with Aggrappante LG primer before applying this self-levelling compound.
Mixing & Application

Pouring the self-levelling compound

1
Mixing: Add 5.25–5.75 litres of clean water per 25kg bag to a container with ¾ of the water. Mix at low speed for 3 minutes until a fluid, lump-free mixture is achieved. Do not split bags for partial mixes.
2
Pour continuously: Pour the self-levelling compound continuously at the required thickness of 3–40mm and spread using a trowel or squeegee. Work quickly — pot life is approximately 20 minutes.
3
Thin applications: For thicknesses between 3 and 10mm, use an air bubble removal roller immediately after pouring to eliminate voids and ensure a flat surface.
4
Curing: Protect from direct sunlight, strong wind and heavy rain for at least 24 hours. Check residual humidity before laying any floor finish — do not tile before 24 hours have elapsed.
Do not add water or powder to the mixed product. Only 20 minutes pot life — mix only what can be poured immediately. Do not apply on substrates subject to bending, or in extreme temperature conditions.
