Tan Acrylic Brick Slip

Licata Acrylic Brick slips have been used to finish interior and exterior walls. Many millions of square meters of façade have been finished using brick slips. Brick slips are ideal for façade cladding, in both technical and aesthetic sense. When brick slips are used in new builds or renovation projects, they are given a masonry look that cannot be distinguished from traditional brickwork. This means that the authentic value of buildings and neighborhoods is retained.

Installation

Please check the brick slips before installing (Correct color? Correct article? Color and size of corners and flats matching together?). The substrate should be clean, dust free, workable, solid and even. Any wallpaper or other residues should be removed before installing the brick slips. We recommend priming the substrate. Spread a suitable flexible adhesive with a toothed spreader by “buttering” both on the back of the slip and on the wall (“buttering-floating”). A string line will be helpful.

Press the brick slips into the adhesive bed with slightly sliding sideways movements, so that they are surrounded by the adhesive completely. Always mix the slips from several packages and several pallets.

If desired, grout traditionally with jointing iron and tiling grout after 24 hours. Always process horizontal and vertical joints together promptly.

Achieving a Characterful Appearance with Natural Clay Aesthetics

The tan mineral brick slip collection beautifully replicates the warm, inviting appearance of natural clay brick, delivering earthy tones that range from light beige to deeper cream and brown shades. This colour variation creates authentic visual interest, with each slip featuring subtle texture differences that improves the overall character of your space. The fired minerals produce a surface finish virtually indistinguishable from traditional brick, ensuring your buildings maintain architectural integrity.

Our tan slips are available in various sizes to suit different layout requirements and design inspiration, allowing you to create contrast with grey or lighter tones in your project. The natural variation in colour across each slip adds depth and authenticity, with the warm tan hues providing a softer alternative to stark white or concrete finishes. Whether you’re working on contemporary or traditional designs, the characterful appearance of these slips aesthetifies any façade or internal feature wall.

Technical Performance and BBA-Certified Quality

At Licata, our tan mineral brick slips undergo rigorous testing throughout the production process to meet BBA certification standards and comply with industry regulations. The fired clay minerals create a durable, weather-resistant surface that protects the substrate beneath whilst requiring minimal regular maintenance over its lifespan. These slips resist staining, moisture penetration, and environmental wear, making them suitable for external cladding exposed to the elements.

The solid construction and careful selection of materials during production ensure exceptional durability without susceptibility to common façade issues. Our technical team can discuss the intended use of your project and recommend the most suitable adhesive systems for optimal bonding to various substrate types including concrete, cement board, and masonry. The sustainability credentials of our lightweight brick slip systems also contribute to improved thermal efficiency when integrated with our EWI solutions.
